12/10/09:  Margaret’s scarf and fingerless mittens are done!  The scarf is my own crochet cable pattern with a border from Crochet on the Edge.  The fingerless/mitts/gloves are slightly modified from the pattern in the Dec 2009 Crochet World and the yarn is Kraemer’s Silk and Sterling.   I’ll post the scarf pattern soon.

2/2/09:  At long last I can now post the many pictures Lorien customers have sent me of the projects they have completed with yarns from our shop.  I am looking forward to pictures from the 30 new knitters in the 6th grade at Wesley School in California.  They are knitting scarves for charity while learning to knit.   In fact – you can post the pictures of your projects yourself so PLEASE DO!

I am learning crocheted cable stitch using this terrific yarn to make the scarf on page 52 of the Jan.2oo9 Crochet magazine.
