The view from my front porch at sunrise this morning We had a great first day at SAFF today, now getting ready to do it all again tomorrow. They're back - 8AM this morning and much closer to the house- again I took the picture from the front porch
Well, if deer, raccoon, 0'possum, rabbits, crows and the occasional great horned owl were not enough pests - look what has invaded my farm NOW!  This is not the same one I saw twice yesterday. This one was making the girls alarm, was NOT shy like that one was, and has a white snout.  He is making short work of a squash that sprouted out of my compost heap in this photo Here is our newest baby in the barn, he is Robin's first and she is a very anxious mom Here she is, Miss September - the newest and almost the biggest cria in the barn.
she weighs almost as much as her week older half-brother/nephew.  Since we are on red clay, I don't know if she is white or light fawn - she will look a lot like her Aunt Robin
Gwen's son - born  yesterday This is Sophia's newborn I discovered the error in the saved pattern as I made this hat from my camo handpainted roving
these are the reef pieces completed to date. the geese in the rain Calla lilies are some of the easiest houseplants to bloom. this one has bloomed every year for 8 or 10 years and gets prettier every year
I don't think my hydrangeas have ever been prettier than they are this year Finally! she has a name- Keroessa(pronounced Carissa)- the mythological daughter of Io and Zeus after Zeus had returned Io to human form.  Our Io is her dam and she has always been an alpaca
